Mitten ornament from old sweater

I am making a few Christmas ornaments for the Holiday season. I had all my sweaters out to make scarfletts and saw a picture of cute mitten ornaments that I wanted to make. I didn’t want to knit them, so used one of my sweaters.

I made a pattern and cut out 4 pieces from the sweater.

I sewed two pieces right sides together on my industrial Pfaff walking foot. I left the top open.

I turned them right side out. That was a far as I could get the thumbs. I’ll have to adjust the pattern if I make more of these!

I sewed around the top of the mitten with my brother CS6000i using a repeating pattern that is programed on the machine (number 24).

I hand sewed a gold cord inside the mittens to hold them together.

I love how these turned out. I will adjust a couple things if I make them again, but am happy with the first attemp.
